Christina & Danny Get Married | Drysdale Farm | Barrie Wedding Photographer

So, I’m going to keep this brief. Less talk, more photos. Because they really do speak for themselves. And they really do speak so highly of the people Christina and Danny are. They are kind and considerate. They believe in people. They believe in love. And I’m so proud I got to document their beautiful day in the Barrie/Springwater area. 1089 RSRP.jpg 1094 RSRP.jpg 1116 RSRP.jpg 1133 RSRP.jpg Ahhh, these girls were so lovely! I miss you all!1159 RSRP.jpg 1173 RSRP.jpg 1186 RSRP.jpg 1194 RSRP.jpg Christina makes getting ready look like an art. Pure art. 1228 RSRP.jpg 1234 RSRP.jpg 1260 RSRP.jpg 1267 RSRP.jpg I loved the few moments we took before we left for the ceremony for Christina to have a minute with her parents. 1276 RSRP.jpg 1289 RSRP.jpg Onto the main event … and a huge shout out to Father John at St. Mary’s Parish in Barrie (who not only held a beautiful ceremony but joined our crazy bridal party afterwards)1306 RSRP.jpg 1347 RSRP.jpg 1358 RSRP.jpg 1413 RSRP.jpg It was a beautiful ceremony. 1428 RSRP.jpg 1452 RSRP.jpg 1465 RSRP.jpg 1499 RSRP.jpg 1509 RSRP.jpg 1518 RSRP.jpg Of course, my favourite part of the ceremony… the kiss! :) And in their case, the high five hahah! So cute! 1523 RSRP.jpg 1530 RSRP.jpg 1535 RSRP.jpg 1549 RSRP.jpg Now, this is where the fun started. We had a lot of time to take photos. It was extremely important to Christina – and to be completely honest, I respect that so much. As a photographer, it can sometimes be very deflating when you only get 15 minutes with a bride and groom for photos. I get that sometimes, weddings just don’t work out the way you want them for the sake of bridal portraits – but I always try to ensure that my couples get in ample time with me. In this case, we had almost 3 hours to play and frolic in the rain, visiting beautiful places along a stretch in Springwater. It was an experience I’ll never forget. 1595 RSRP.jpg 1598 RSRP.jpg 1603 RSRP.jpg Can we just stop for a second to note how beautiful Christina looked on her wedding day. It was really a dream come true for her. 1631 RSRP.jpg This barn was really important to Christina and Danny. I’m so glad it worked out, despite the rain (fortunately it only lasted for about 20 minutes). 1646 RSRP.jpg 1731 RSRP.jpg 1741 RSRP.jpg Such a beautiful couple. 1660 RSRP.jpg 1667 RSRP.jpg Of course, it wouldn’t be a party without a bridal party (haha get it!!). And they were quite the spirited bunch! 1679 RSRP.jpg 1802 RSRP.jpg 1823 RSRP.jpg I loved that Christina ditched her shoes for cowboy boots. She totally rocked them too, doncha think!1777 RSRP.jpg 1779 RSRP.jpg We can’t leave the handsome Danny and his groomsmen out. Doesn’t everyone just look amazing? 1838 RSRP.jpg 1888 RSRP.jpg I told you, it was a lovefest of photos but when you look as stunning as Christina and Danny, can you blame them? 1878 RSRP.jpg 1946 RSRP.jpg Off to our next two locations, including another farm with baby horses and Christina’s grandmothers home that had the most amazing backyard! 1950 RSRP.jpg 1960 RSRP.jpg 1975 RSRP.jpg Then, this happened. Don’t ask ;) 1992 RSRP.jpg Hey, I won’t stop when inspiration calls! Since this was our last location before heading to Drysdale Tree Farm, we made sure to do a few more full bridal portraits. I can’t get over that sweet light. 1997 RSRP.jpg 2024 RSRP.jpg 2051 RSRP.jpg I adore this. 2019 RSRP.jpg Danny, I hope you didn’t think I forgot about you. You cleaned up pretty nice I must say! 2059 RSRP.jpg So, Kelsey and I pull up to Drysdale Tree Farm and wow… we were just blown away. Not only was it another gorgeous spot for photos, we were in awe of their reception area. How did we get so lucky! The light was simply beautiful. 2093 RSRP.jpg 2107 RSRP.jpg 2128 RSRP.jpg 2148 RSRP.jpg 2156 RSRP.jpgIsn’t that cake simply to die for? It was made by a family friend, I was so impressed. And yes, while it might have started shifting due to the humidity in the air, it honestly was one of the most beautiful cakes I’ve ever seen (and I see a lot of cakes). It had so much character! And the racoons!! Oh, those racoons!! ;) Once we settled in, we were treated to fun introductions, a delicious dinner (thai and indian), heartfelt speeches, and beautiful dances — we laughed and enjoyed the most beautiful summer night under the stars. 2278 RSRP.jpg 2203 RSRP.jpg 2208 RSRP.jpg 2237 RSRP.jpg 2285 RSRP.jpg Their first dance was pretty heartfelt and beautifully choreographed. I love that Christina changed her dress for it. I loved the lift at the end! 2264 RSRP.jpg 2294 RSRP.jpg 2301 RSRP.jpg 2323 RSRP.jpg 2340 RSRP.jpg Seriously!!!! How cute is Danny’s little niece?! She totally stole my heart! 2368 RSRP.jpg I love this; pure and simple. 2381 RSRP.jpg After they cut the cake, they were up for a few more photos outside. I’m so glad we got to enjoy a little quiet downtime on the premises for more photos. It was a photographer’s paradise! 2406 RSRP.jpg 2242 RSRP.jpg 2416 RSRP.jpg 2441 RSRP.jpg I know…. just when you think they can’t get cuter or more in love …2452 RSRP (archive).jpg 2470 RSRP.jpg 2499 RSRP.jpg And that dress…. stunning! 2513 RSRP.jpg Christina and Danny, it was a beautiful night! I’m so glad I was a part of it. When Christina’s parents got up to speak, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. Yvonne’s poems were beautiful. And the words spoken about her son Patrick was undeniable. On a personal note, as a mother, listening to Yvonne speak about the loss of her son broke my heart. We could all feel his presence. He was there… he was there.2526 RSRP.jpg 2538 RSRP.jpg 2587 RSRP.jpg 2610 RSRP.jpg 2611 RSRP.jpg 2674 RSRP.jpg 2688 RSRP.jpg Ha! Christina’s dad is the best … I don’t think there was one person who didn’t laugh at this (except for maybe Danny at first haha).2695 RSRP.jpg 2711 RSRP.jpg Of course, we ended the night with sparklers2732 RSRP.jpg 2742 RSRP.jpg And a few more photos… of course! How could we not under that beautifully lit gazebo under the stars!2757 RSRP.jpg 2758 RSRP.jpg I know this is long overdue guys, but as you can see, this is probably the heaviest blog post I’ve done in a while. But there was so much beautiful imagery, I wanted to make sure I gave you guys a proper look into your day. I hope you enjoyed looking back at your wedding day. I know I sure did! 2393 RSRP.jpg Lots of love, Robyn xo
