Jessica & Rob get Married | Oakville Wedding Photographer

Time to start sharing some of the amazing weddings I shot that I didn’t get a chance to blog. This one in particular was lovely.

On occasion, I get the opportunity to shoot a “second” wedding for two sweet people. Not only were they sweet; the bride is a photographer, which is always an extreme honour. It was a simple wedding. A simple and heartfelt ceremony. Simple portraits. And a simple reception afterwards. And it was nothing short of beautiful. Here’s a little highlight of their day. This is Jessica and Rob.

Here are some highlights from their ceremony at St. John’s Church in Oakville on a very rainy afternoon in the fall.

After the ceremony, we took a few photos outside of the church and in and around the downtown Oakville area. As we didn’t have a ton of time for portraits, we took to the streets and took some amazing photos in the short period of time we had. And to our luck, the rain stopped!

Aren’t both of Jessica and Rob’s families and bridal party gorgeous? Jessica and her girls can’t take a bad photo! We finished out the day with a few bridal portraits around St. Jude’s Church down the street. As we were in the height of fall, the colours were unbelievable. Yes, it was a little wet but that didn’t get in the way whatsoever.

And then this happened… the sun. Yep. Nothing fake about this photo at all. It really was a magical moment.

And if things couldn’t get any better; it did. I’m not sure which photo is my favourite (the one above or the one below). All I know is, it screams love and vibrancy in the height of such a beautiful day and fall season. Moreover, when I took it, I knew it was the one. I also want to take a minute to talk about how awesome Jessica & Rob’s details were. They didn’t have a ton of details – but what they did have worked brilliantly. Jessica’s bouquet was stunning  and dreamy; the florist matched her husband’s tartan and her garter while still adhering to the season we were in. Just awesome.

Thanks for checking out my work! I’ll be blogging lots more in the next couple of weeks as I’m finally getting a little time to blog again while I rebrand my website. That’s right, I’m doing a full rebrand and merging my portraits back with my wedding portfolio. Look out for that coming very soon! Either way, exciting times ahead!! Robyn xo
