I heart family sessions.

And I heart that my dear friend Julie (who I met a few years ago on the trip of a lifetime) contacted me to photograph her and her son Scotty last weekend. Not only did I get to spend quality time with them while the wind blew our hair, I caught a glimpse into their life as a family. I’ve always known Julie as a friend — someone who picked me up when I was down. She always made me laugh. She’s fun and quirky and she literally has one of the biggest hearts (and appetites) I’ve ever seen LOL!! She’s my sushi and sum-sum bud and she hasn’t changed a bit; still as beautiful and successful as ever! Scotty, on the other hand, has literally changed before my eyes. He’s turned into quite the man, I didn’t recognise him when I first saw him (other than the fact that he’s a splitting image of his beautiful mama).

Spending time with Julie & Scotty reminded me of something really important — it doesn’t matter how big or small your family is at the end of the day … true, unequivocal love is the only thing that matters! Julie, thank you for letting me catch a glimpse into your life … I’m so glad I was able to do this for you! I hope you enjoy your highly anticipated & long overdue sneak peak! :)
