Tiago | Hamilton Newborn Photographer

Another wee baby on the blog tonight. Introducing Tiago — one of my sweetest (and feistiest) newborns to date. Tiago has a mind of his own. First, he decided to surprise his parents by arriving early! And because he came early, I thought he’d be extra sleepy (not to mention the fact that boys are generally less fussy than girls). I photographed him at 6 days new. Sadly, he had other things on his mind, sleep not being one of them. He was a little jaundiced, which made him a bit of irritable, so I worked around his discomfort and upset stomach as best as possible. Luckily, I am always up for a challenge (and a snuggle), so I held on to my little man nice and tight. I sang and rocked him back to sleep and I made sure to work extra gently and quickly! ;)

I see my share of newborns but Tiago was extra special. Not only did he have the most gorgeous skin and hair, he had the biggest set of lungs I’ve ever heard. My goodness!!! It was tough not to giggle at his squeals. Don’t get me wrong. He did eventually give in to my powers and allowed me to take some shots of him while he peacefully slept on his Daddy’s arm.

One thing I know is true. He is definitely a man in control; he already knows what he likes and doesn’t like. And although he might not have liked my camera, my camera definitely loved him! Carla & Randy, thanks for being so patient and allowing me to take the time I knew I needed to capture Tiago properly! I hope you enjoy your sneak peak! Your gallery is going to be ready in a few days! I’ll be in touch soon! In the meantime, enjoy!
