As a photographer, I’m always looking to broaden my horizons. And while I love photographing newborns and babies, I wanted to try something new this summer. My inspiration came after doing my first round of commercial headshots for Lindsay in Toronto. I enjoyed our session so much and found myself afterwards thinking about how I could continue to line up this type of work for my business. It was then that I realised that I could apply the same principle I use for actors as I do to teenagers searching for something better than the typical graduation or yearbook photo. And thus, a new vision was born. The concept of photographing “high school” seniors is fairly new in Canada — but something I’d definitely like to bring more to forefront over the next year, so without further adieu, meet Natasha Wadeson, my high school senior rep for 2010/2011! :)
Natasha and I had a great session together — so great that it’s taken me well over a month to go through her amazing footage in an effort to narrow down my favourites! The point behind this session was to capture Natasha as she is … fresh, fun, flirty — the way a high school beauty should be captured. Our session included crazy butterflies, twilight inspired backgrounds, golden fields of weeds, and all things musical. Natasha, I enjoyed working with you; you were a natural in front of the camera! I hope you like your sneak peak from our gorgeous evening session at Kariya Park in Mississauga. I look forward to more sessions with you in the future! Next time, I’ll find Edward … ;)

She is so beautiful!!! Great job Robyn!
I love them all. Very pretty girl! What lens do you like best for your portraits. Do you shoot all natural light?
Thanks ladies!! Amber, I love using my 50mm 1.4. It’s great in low light (although these were taken during golden hour). I love prime lenses! And yes, I shoot almost exclusively in natural light. I prefer it! :)
Beautiful
